Every attorney owes every client a professional obligation of zealous advocacy. BottomLine Lawyers raises the bar on professional performance through its assessment protocol [link to home page]. Other ways we raise the bar and deliver outstanding personal service:
- Stand in your shoes to assess your needs and desires
- Recommend a specific course of action tailored to you
- Bring an integrative, multi-disciplinary approach unlike bankruptcy and foreclosure mills
- Use “outside the box” thinking

Richard Hall, Attorney
Attorney Richard Hall is co-founder of BottomLine Lawyers. Hall has a unique breadth of experience which has enabled him to meld technology, sophisticated legal analysis, “outside the box” strategies and a collaborative style to create innovative solutions with his clients.
Richard’s work is recognized by national organizations including: Foreclosure Defense Group (Living Lies), Consumer Attorneys Mortgage Fraud Focus Group and Cornell University’s Legal Information Institute.
Richard attended law school at the University of La Verne and was admitted to the California Bar in 1988 and the Federal Bar in 1989. Many lawyers come to the law without any practical business experience, and few come with significant management experience. Through serendipity rather than design, I was an exception. My prior experience afforded me a fast track to complex civil trials and the opportunity to work closely with corporate clients.
Richard’s real estate experience includes feasibility analysis of investment projects, including historic preservation district qualified buildings. He directed acquisition and syndication of commercial properties. Hall also managed multi-tiered Map Act land splits. He was an early member of the Exchangor’s Club, specializing in 1031 tax deferred transactions.
Richard performs pro bono services for several Northern California judicial districts, is vice President of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, a former Board member of the Downtown Business Association and a member of Rotary Club of Auburn.
Mr. Hall continues to practice law and perform pro bono services for several Northern California judicial districts.
Richard Hall also founded three legal information companies that help public and private entities manage the “business end” of law. Melding technology and sophisticated statistical analysis, he produced a technology driven analytical model of the practice of law. In 1994, Mr. Hall invented linguistic modeling software which automatically applies budget codes, performs GAAP accrual financial reporting and conducts compliance analysis. He also served as California Director and lecturer for a nationwide bar review.
Previously Richard was an executive in the photographic and real estate industries before attending law school and conducting performance and budget analysis for the Amraam missile project. He also served as California Director and lecturer for a nationwide bar review.
